Los Angeles Kings
Locked in a fierce battle for a playoff spot in the ultra-competitive Western Conference, the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings are revving up the engine at the right time. Though if the playoffs were to start today the Kings would be on the outside looking in it is hard to believe that the experienced star-studded roster won't find a way to squeak into the post-season. If they do make it they will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with, much as they were in 2012 when they came in as the eighth seed in the west and went on to steamroll their opponents in all four rounds en route to the first Stanley Cup championship in franchise history.
