About Team USA

The 2010 Olympics in Vancouver were bittersweet for the American men's hockey team. They lost a gut-wrenching 2-1 overtime game to Team Canada in the finals of the tournament, coming within a whisker's-breadth of winning gold. On the bright side, they did win a silver medal, a better result than most pundits predicted heading into the 2010 games. This time they are again a dark horse in the tournament, ranked by many behind Canada, Russia and Sweden. However, the USA's biggest weapon is its team speed and on a big ice surface they could again exceed expectations. With game-breakers like Phil Kessel, Patrick Kane and Zach Parise providing offense and the stingy Jonathan Quick between the pipes the Americans could very well come home with a golden prize this time around.
