Few would argue the Detroit Red Wings have been the class of the NHL over the past dozen years. With 4 Stanley Cups in that time they are the closest thing to a dynasty we’ll likely see in this salary-capped NHL. Though they didn’t quite manage to hoist the Stanley Cup last year, bowing out to the Pittsburgh Penguins in a hard fought 7 game series, they are still a force to be reckoned with and will once again will be a favorite to contend for the cup in the 2009-10 season.
