Though the Czech Republic has dropped in the hockey rankings since the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano where they won gold, they are still a force to be reckoned with, particularly on the big international ice surface. Featuring a only handful of NHL stars, including legend Jaromir Jagr, the Czechs, on paper at least, don't seem to stack up very well against the likes of Canada and Russia. However, perhaps no other squad is as adept at buying into a team concept, and during a short tourney like the Olympics that chemistry and willingness to pull the oars together might be enough for them to play giant-killer in Sochi this winter.
