A former star with the Canadian World Junior team, P.K. Subban has shown he has what it takes to achieve stardom at the NHL level. Subban spent most of the year with the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs, but since an injury to Andrei Markov Subban has had his chance to show his stuff on the biggest stage in hockey – the Stanley Cup playoffs. He has played with poise and creativity, and has earned the trust of Montreal Canadiens coach Jacques Martin, who has put him out in all situations including powerplay, penalty kill, and in the final minute of tight games. Habs fans have a lot to look forward to as you can bet that in the years to come Subban will become a star every bit as talented as Drew Doughty, Duncan Keith, or Shea Weber.
