As good as Roberto Luongo and Marc-Andre Fleury are there is little doubt that Martin Brodeur will be Team Canada's starting goalie when they kick off the 2010 Winter Olympic hockey tournament against Norway on February 16th. The all time leader in both regular season wins and shutouts, Brodeur is a winner, plain and simple. But all those wins and shutouts only tell part of the tale. Brodeur is a 3 time Stanley Cup winner, has 4 Vezina Trophies as the NHL's premier goaltender, and, oh yeah, he also has an Olympic Gold medal from when he backstopped Canada to glory in Salt Lake City in 2002. With all that on his resume it is impossible to imagine, barring injury, that Luongo or Fleury will be able to nab the starting job.
