2012 Henrik Lundqvist Winter Classic Jersey
Though he has no royal blood, "King" Henrik Lundqvist is certainly royalty in New York. This Swedish superstar goaltender has been a brick wall between the pipes for the New York Rangers over the last six and a half seasons, and this current campaign might just be his best. Lundqvist is off to a sizzling start to the 2011-12 season, and is currently sporting a 1.95 GAA, a .936 save percentage, and has posted 15 wins and 3 shutouts to date.
His stellar play is the main reason why the Rangers, who in recent years have struggled just to make the playoffs, now sit in second in the Eastern Conference standings and are tied for third overall in the NHL with 48 points.
Back-up Martin Biron has also been great between the pipes, but there is no question who the number one guy is in net for New York. Fans can fully expect to see King Henrik tending the net for the Rangers in the Winter Classic game vs. the Philadelphia Flyers this January 2nd.
