2012 Brad Richards Winter Classic Jersey
The most coveted free agent on the market this past off-season, Brad Richards appropriately wound up in the biggest hockey market in the United States. Fans in New York rejoiced when they heard that Rangers GM Glen Sather had lured Richards to the Big Apple. A former Stanley Cup winner with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and one of the most talented setup men in the game, Richards brought both experience and skill to the table when he signed the deal.
Richards averaged better than a point per game during his tenure with his former club, the Dallas Stars, and most of those points game in the form of assists. Upon the announcement of the deal fans were salivating at the thought of Richards teaming up on a line with super sniper Marian Gaborik.
Though the two have yet to find consistent chemistry the experiment is still in its early stages and once they get adjusted to one another's respective games fans can look forward to some magic on the ice between the two.
Though he hasn't lit it up on the scoreboard yet, Richards has excelled in both ends of the rink and his quiet leadership has been a great complement to newly minted captain Ryan Callahan's more vocal approach.
