Winnipeg Jets Jersey
Hockey fans in Manitoba, it's time to celebrate! The Jets are back. Yes, 15 years after they packed up and went to the desert as the Phoenix Coyotes the Jets have returned and NHL hockey is again live and well in Winnipeg. No, the Coyotes didn't come back, so technically it might not be the same Jets team that departed all those years ago. Instead, this incarnation of the Jets actually came from Atlanta, where the Thrashers franchise was sold after running into financial difficulties in the U.S. state of Georgia. It doesn't matter to the hockey-starved fans of Winnipeg. All they care about is that they finally have an NHL franchise to cheer for again.
New 2011-12 Winnipeg Jets Jersey
The Jets of 2011-12 will look significantly different than the Jets that left town a decade and a half ago. Gone is the vintage Jets jersey with a circle with the word Jets in the middle (and a hockey stick as a 'J', with a little plane in a smaller circle). The new Jets jersey has more of a retro look to it, and an almost militaristic feel to it as well. It is fairly spartan compared to some of today's flashier NHL jerseys. See picture below:
