Alexander Ovechkin boldly told TSN's Pierre Maguire before the start of tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens that he would not be stopped. It seems the Great 8 is something of a prophet as he scored one of the most incredible goals of the NHL season with a dynamic spin move off the boards to beat Roman Hamrlik. Ovechkin followed up the move by driving powerfully to the net, out-muscling Kyle Chipchura before finally shoveling the puck into the short side while lying on his back! The goal was reminiscent of the spectacular tally he potted against Phoenix a few years ago, and was Ovechkin's 11th in his last 9 games, and 42nd of the season. Though he might trail countryman Evgeni Malkin in points there can be little question that Ovechkin has to be the favorite to win a second straight Hart trophy as NHL MVP.
